GERRY WATTERS MEMORIAL TROPHY

As a lasting tribute to former committee member, the late Gerry Watters, the Bard committee has commissioned a special memorial trophy.  This will be presented annually as a Hall of Fame award to someone who has made a significant contribution to the Festival of Humorous Verse over the years.

The trophy, designed by Raymond Watson is carved in bog oak and is a fitting memorial to the late Gerry and his family for his unstinted work as committee member for over fifteen years.  Gerry was totally committed to the bard event and the November final was the highlight of his year.  He is still sadly missed.
