IRISH STEW WITH THE BARDS OF ARMAGH 15 MARCH

As part of the St Patrick's week of festivities in the Cathedral City there will be a special evening of Bardic revelry in the Navan Centre on Thursday 15 March.  Taking his place of honour at the ancient seat of the Bards will be reigning Bard, Henry McGrath.  Highly revered and popular Henry from Katesbridge, will recite some of his epics including, the poems which won him the titles in 2003

'My stay in Daisy Hill' and his 2011 winner, 'The Priest'.

Michael Quinn, widely regarded as the best story teller in Ireland will be there to uplift the audience with his mesmerising tales and meandering stories.  When Michael is around the company is good and the humour flows in abundance.   Esteemed songwriter and bard Declan Forde, from Omagh will regale the audience with his many fine compositions including 'When Miley met Nellie' and the ever popular 'The 'Belleek One'   And keeping the female bardic embers alight will be Joan Rooney, an accomplished yarn spinner and  bard with her recent winning entries 'Tam the Thread' and the tongue twisting  'Willie Wright'.

This event is sure to appeal to all bard lovers and what better way to spend an evening in St Patrick's week than in the relaxed setting of the Navan Centre with all that is wholesome in entertainment, good music, song and verse with stew and black porter.   The event is ticket only and these will be on sale in early February.
