NEW BARD CD, UPLIFT THE SPIRIT

The eagerly awaited new Bard of Armagh double CD ‘Uplift the Spirit, A Cocktail of Humorous Juices’ has just been launched. This exciting collection of odes, recorded live at the Bard finals, features the winning poems from the recent past and popular classics from over the years. It includes Henry McGrath’s 2011 winner, ‘The Priest’, Jimmy Rafferty’s 2010 winner ‘Her Majesty’s Pleasure’ and Liam McNally’s epic winner from 2008, ‘Hand Me Down My Y Fronts’.
Included too from 1999 is Patsy O Hagan with ‘The New Generation’ and ‘If I had To Do The Whole Thing Again’ from recent 'Hall of Fame' recipient Pat McGeeney.
Female bards feature too and best females for the past two years, Colleen Downham with ‘Lady GAA GAA’ and Joan Rooney with ‘Willie Wright’ are sure to be hugely popular. Captured too from 1996 from the finals in Carnagh House, is Marie McCartan and ‘Killing Rats’
