PASSING OF ROSEMARY TWOHIG

PASSING OF ROSEMARY TWOHIG

All associates and supporters of the Bard of Armagh Festival of Humorous Verse will be saddened at the news of the recent death of Rosemary Twohig.

Rosemary had been suffering from ill health in recent years but fought her battle with great spirit and determination.  She performed in most of the Bard competitions over the years and won the NIE section twice with ‘The Electrical Goose’ and ‘Remote Control’  She was also the winner of the Irish News Section with ‘The Electronic Chastity Belt’

A great favourite with the Bard audiences, Rosemary’s sweet engaging Donegal accent along with her unique style of penmanship and delivery marked her as a true, genuine performer.  Despite her illness she insisted on attending the most recent Bard event in November and true to form she gave one final delightful performance.  She will be sadly missed and all Bard fraternity will join in expressing their condolences to her family and wide circle of friends.
